Mechanical and aerospace engineering alum and U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) researcher Brian Bojko has earned the highest honor bestowed to early career U.S. government scientists and engineers.
Bojko has received a for conducting high-impact research focused on the investigation of solid fuel combustion for use in high-speed propulsion devices. As an aerospace engineer at the NRL Laboratories for Computational Physics and Fluid Dynamics, Bojko is a leading researcher in computational combustion, specializing in the modeling of complex reacting flows with applications in energetics, propulsion, and munition safety.
“I am extremely honored to have received the PECASE, especially with other very talented researchers as I could not have achieved this on my own and am very grateful to all my collaborators and leadership for their support throughout the years,” said Bojko, who earned his PhD, MS and BS degrees from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UB.
