Bringing together higher education leaders from a wide range of roles and institutional types, the 2025 AAC&U conference will offer space to reflect, reimagine, and reaffirm the role of global learning in preparing students to contribute meaningfully to their communities and succeed in diverse career paths.
This year, the conference will be held entirely online, making it easier for colleagues across roles, time zones, and institutions to take part.
The purpose of the Inclusive Teaching and Learning Certificate Program is to help faculty and others involved in teaching and learning in higher education develop new mindsets and strategies for more inclusive and equitable practices in classrooms and other learning environments. The certificate provides evidence that the participants have attained a basic set of essential skills and knowledge needed for teaching a diverse student population.
In September 2025, AAC&U, in collaboration with , will launch the Institute on Open Education (IOE), a reenvisioning of AAC&U’s Institute on Open Educational Resources for the current moment in higher education. This online institute is designed to accelerate the work of teams from campuses or state systems seeking to actualize an ambitious strategy to provide access to high-quality educational opportunities through the affordances of open education.
