The conceptual design phase of the Imagine LaSalle park redesign project will kick off Thursday, Jan. 17, with a public workshop from 6-8 p.m. at International Preparatory School in Buffalo.

The competition, started by a UB chemist, is wrapping up its fifth year, with participants from 42 states and Washington D.C.  

The 219th anniversary of the birth of Millard Fillmore, UB’s first chancellor and the 13th president of the United States, will be celebrated at a ceremony to be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 7 in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo.
