    The growing prevalence of detention as a policy within the U.S. immigration system is strikingly similar to policies of criminal sanctions and mass incarceration used to fight the "war on drugs" in the 1980s, according to Âé¶¹´«Ã½o Law School Professor Teresa A. Miller, who studies the U.S. prison system and teaches immigration law.

  • Law School Attracts People from All Walks of Life

    The new class of students at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½o Law School may be more diverse in background and experience than any in recent memory. Of the 247 first-year students enrolled this fall at the UB Law School, about half possess the prototypical law-school student portfolio, but many come to the school from wide-ranging paths that have taken them all over the world.
