While ClinicalTrials.gov encourages researchers to use the Modernized Protocol Registration and Results System, users are advised to switch to Classic PRS for several critical tasks.
While the Modernized Protocol Registration and Results System (PRS) has been the primary ClinicalTrials.gov website since August 2024, the classic website is still available, and retirement of the classic version has not been announced. Development of the Modernized PRS is continuing into 2025 and the National Library of Medicine (NLM) will continue to communicate regularly about the progress via .
