We provide leadership to the Western New York region by offering academic, vocational and work readiness training to eligible individuals. Our goal is to create programs that mirror the market and result in job placement for our graduates.

The Buffalo Fire Department (BFD) provides fire protection and other critical public safety services, including Emergency Management Services (EMS), to residents and business owners citywide. The BEOC continued its long-standing collaboration with the BFD by developing test preparation classes for new recruits.
The Buffalo Urban League (BUL) enables African American and other underserved urban residents to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power, and civil rights. The BEOC collaborates with the BUL to provide services for out of school youth and adults who may need computer and academic skills.
Catholic Health is a non-profit healthcare system that provides care to Western New Yorkers across a network of hospitals, primary care centers, imaging centers, and several other community ministries. BEOC Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) students completed their externships at a variety of Catholic Health facilities.
Through their commitment to upholding their mission and core values for patients, partners and teammates, the Davita Healthcare Company aims to build the greatest health care community the world has ever seen. Davita served as an externship site for BEOC Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) students.
Cornell Cooperative Extension programming provides educational opportunities to help people, individually and collectively, make sound decisions about their lives, businesses, and communities; and develop economically, socially, and culturally. BEOC students, and the community, receive basic instruction on nutrition and how to manage household food budgets.
Explore and More’s mission is to provide best-in-class play experiences where all children, families and the community can explore, learn and develop together. The BEOC co-sponsored our Strengthening Families Celebration with Explore and More. The theme for this event was Find the Superhero Within and over 800 individuals attended.
Jericho Road Community Health Center provides wholistic healthcare for the underserved and marginalized communities in Buffalo and across the world in order to demonstrate the unconditional love of Jesus. Jericho Road Community Health Center served as an externship site for BEOC Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) students.
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority is a New York State public-benefit corporation responsible for the public transportation oversight of Erie and Niagara counties. The BEOC continued its long-standing collaboration with the NFTA by developing test preparation classes for their firefighter exam.
The State University of New York Police Departments are full service and community-oriented police agencies. The BEOC developed test preparation classes for individuals taking the University Police civil service exam. Also, the UB University Police taught all workshops in the BEOC Security Guard Program.
Workforce Buffalo is a network of employment and training providers and community support agencies, committed to changing the face of workforce development in our community. The BEOC has worked with the Buffalo and Erie County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) to develop customer service programming for those that are unemployed, under-employed to develop the skills the workforce needs to meet employers’ demands.
1199SEIU provides complete health benefits, a defined monthly pension at retirement and training, educational, job security, and childcare benefits all at little or no cost to its members. The BEOC provided professional development, as well as training opportunities, in allied health for 1199 members.
