  • Yale LGBT Studies Research Fellowship

    This fellowship at Yale University is offered annually and is designed to provide access to Yale resources in LGBT studies for scholars who live outside the greater New Haven area.    
  • World Politics and Statecraft Fellowship

    The Smith Richardson Foundation sponsors an annual “World Politics and Statecraft Fellowship” program, its annual grant competition to support PhD dissertation research on American foreign policy, international relations, international security, strategic studies, area studies, and diplomatic and military history. The purpose of the program is to support the research and writing of policy-relevant dissertations through funding of field work, archival research and language training.  In evaluating applications, the foundation will accord preference to those projects that could directly inform U.S. policy debates and thinking, rather than dissertations that are principally focused on abstract theory or debates within a scholarly discipline. The foundation will award up to 20 grants of $7,500 each.
  • The Bibliographical Society of America Fellowships

    The Bibliographical Society of America funds a number of fellowships to promote inquiry and research in books and other textual artifacts in both traditional and emerging formats.
  • Teach Thailand Corps (TTC)
    5/13/25
    Teach Thailand Corps (TTC) focuses on strengthening primary and secondary school education in Thailand, particularly in high-need areas. TTC recruits and places American and Chinese graduates with bachelor's degrees or higher to teach English and Chinese by native speakers and may teach some basic subjects related to schools in less developed provinces. Teachers will work with students at the K12 level for 15-22 hours per week. There are opportunities for internships in various fields of interest, including business, international development, public policy, social work, medicine, and public health during breaks or after end of year.

    A scholarship for future leaders and changemakers, Samvid Scholars was established in 2021 by Samvid Ventures to invest in the graduate education of future leaders who are committed to effecting positive change in society.  
  • SUNY/OMH Mental Health Scholarship Program

    The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), in partnership with the State University of New York (SUNY) Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and SUNY schools, created the SUNY/OMH Mental Health Scholarship Program for Underrepresented and/or Multilingual Students to attract, retain, and graduate underrepresented students and students that are multilingual, in the various mental health professions.
  • U.S.-U.K. Summer Fulbright Institutes

    The U.S.-U.K. Fulbright Commission offers special summer institutes for U.S. citizens to go to the U.K. These summer programs provide the opportunity for U.S. undergraduates to visit the U.K. on a three or four week academic and cultural summer program. Participants in these programs will get the opportunity to experience an exciting academic program at a highly regarded U.K. university, explore the culture, heritage and history of the U.K. and develop their academic ability by improving presentation, research and communication skills.
  • The Truman Scholarship

    The Truman Scholarship seeks juniors with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to careers in government, the nonprofit or advocacy sectors, education or elsewhere in the public service. The scholarship supports graduate or professional study, leadership training and fellowship with other scholars who are committed to making a difference through public service.
  • Social Impact Fellows Program

    The Social Impact Fellows program prepares students to address social issues using principles of entrepreneurship and social innovation. MBA and MSW students from the School of Management and School of Social Work, along with graduate students from the College of Arts and Sciences, create social innovation in Western New York. Presented in collaboration with UB's Blackstone LaunchPad & Techstars, the program brings students together to collaborate, address pressing social issues and make an impact.
  • Smithsonian Institution Fellowships

    The Smithsonian Institution is the world's largest museum, education, and research complex. Smithsonian fellowships are offered to individuals who design and develop proposals to conduct independent research in fields pursued by and of interest to the Institution.
