The Scholar-in-Residence Program can increase international connections.
The Fulbright supports internationalization of campuses and units/departments at U.S. institutions of higher education by allowing institution-applicants to apply to host a scholar from abroad for an academic year or semester.
The Scholar-in-Residence Program offers scholars a pathway to connecting with international collaborators that can foster one's own trip abroad with Fulbright for the first time or for an additional Fulbright Scholar Award. A high-quality connection with a host institution abroad strengthens the Fulbright Scholar application. Therefore, having a semester or year with a colleague from abroad is one of the strongest connections one could have.
The application to host a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence is open and closes on June 2, 2025 at 5:00 PM EST..
