Award Opportunities

The School of Architecture and Planning hosted its Awards Day + Atelier 2021 on the lawn outside Hayes Hall in May 2021.

The Office of Faculty Affairs supports the application and nomination of faculty for a variety of awards recognizing excellence in teaching, research, and service.

External Awards

The Director of Faculty Recognition supports the identification of and application to a range of national and international honorific awards. This includes Fulbright awards, National Research Council (NRC) awards, Top American Research University (TARU) awards, and UB's new Recognizing Excellence Program.

UB Awards

Faculty Affairs oversees submissions for UB Distinguished Professor, Exceptional Scholar Award, and UB's Award for Teaching Innovation.

SUNY Awards

Faculty Affairs administers submissions for SUNY's Distinguished Rank nominations and SUNY Chancellor's Award nominations.

SUNY Honorary Degrees

The SUNY Honorary Degree is the system's highest form of recognition to exemplary individuals whose contributions and achievements embody our university’s highest ideals of excellence and service.
