  • Riding to end cancer

    UB again hosted the annual Ride for Roswell fundraiser for cancer research last weekend. The two-day event began on Friday with the Celebration of Hope that included the arrival of the Peloton — a police-escorted, 12-mile bicycle procession traveling in a two-by-two formation from Roswell Park to the UB North Campus — as well as the Parade of Teams, the Roswell patient and staff processional, and the lighting of the ceremonial torch. The ride took place on Saturday. Founded in 1996 by Mitch Flynn, Ride for Roswell is the nation’s largest one-day cycling fundraiser. Photos: Nancy J. Parisi
