Andrew E. Bruno

Assistant Director, Software Engineering & DevOps

Andrew has been with the Center for Computational Research since 2007.  He has a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics from the Âé¶¹´«Ã½o.

Areas of Support:

  • Development, implementation, and management of HPC infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking
  • Design and deployment of high performance data center networks
  • Reliability, scalability, and performance of HPC systems
  • Software engineering and project management
  • Collaborate with faculty and researchers to facilitate high-impact research projects that require HPC resources

  • - FreeIPA self-service account management portal
  • - MAchine Recognition of Crystallization Outcomes, half a million annotated images of macromolecular crystallization experiments trained using a deep convolutional neural network
  • - an expert crystallization knowledge system built upon a vast library of historical data from crystallization experiments
