Storage Area Network Administrator

Tony has been with the Center for Computational Research since 2002.  He manages the storage, the cluster networking, does system administration and software building.

Areas of Support:

  • Consulting on all aspects of data storage including I/O performance, MPI-IO over NFS
  • Consulting on Ethernet network configuration including switching, routing and LACP link aggregation
  • Consulting on system administration issues under Linux (including RedHat, Fedora Core and Ubuntu)
  • Consulting on IPv6 configuration, testing and implementation.
  • Software building with gnu tools and Intel compilers using EasyBuild, and container builds with apptainer and  podman

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and administration of the CCR network-attached storage and cloud storage
  • Configuration and administration of the internal core and edge network switches
  • Linux System administration support
  • Software building with EasyBuild and containers
