UB again hosted the annual Ride for Roswell fundraiser for cancer research last weekend. The two-day event began on Friday with the Celebration of Hope that included the arrival of the Peloton — a police-escorted, 12-mile bicycle procession traveling in a two-by-two formation from Roswell Park to the UB North Campus — as well as the Parade of Teams, the Roswell patient and staff processional, and the lighting of the ceremonial torch. The ride took place on Saturday. Founded in 1996 by Mitch Flynn, Ride for Roswell is the nation’s largest one-day cycling fundraiser. Photos: Nancy J. Parisi

These are our people. These are our bonds. Nick Mendola found pride, purpose and lifelong connections at UB — and he’s eternally grateful.
University Communications photographer Douglas Levere recently happened upon the UB Veggie Van at its South Campus location near Diefendorf Hall. The campus destination for fresh, locally grown produce, the Veggie Van aims to transform the way the campus community thinks about food, making nutritious options accessible to all. You can find the van outside Diefendorf from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, at Founders Plaza on the North Campus from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesdays and at ECMC, inside Entrance D, from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursdays. Check out the for more information.
